Event Coordinator Intern

Job description

We are Etergo. We're on a mission to accelerate the global transition towards sustainable energy and transportation by creating a safe, scalable and environmentally friendly alternative to petrol and diesel vehicles. Founded in 2014, we have grown our company with over 70 agile thinkers, building high-end electric transportation. We are currently working on #AppScooter, our first product, to demonstrate that city mobility can be clean, and deeply integrated with technologies that connect us. Since we are growing fast, we’re now looking for an Event Coordinator Intern to join our team.

WHY do we need you?

We are launching our first product, AppScooter, and we are looking for someone that is open to support us in planning and executing internal and external events.

Your enthusiasm – for life, for inspiration, for new and untapped sources of amazement - is contagious. We are looking for someone who is known for their interest in mobility, electric vehicles, or innovation.

We are currently 74 team members from 26 different countries. Our marketing team is small and dynamic, therefore the tasks will be diverse.

On average, in 2019, we ran bi-weekly events, and in 2020 we are planning to run weekly events. Programming could include conferences, trade shows, test drives, photoshoots, exclusive dinners, investors events, team events, lead generation, opening of retail or pop-up stores, etc.

As an Event Coordinator Intern, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Growing our database by researching worldwide events and different suppliers;
  • Assisting internal and external event productions (aka experiences). Supporting the Events Manager in building relations with different partners and fill our calendar with on-topic recurring events;
  • Assisting guests during test drives;
  • Assisting the Events Manager in other day-to-day tasks;
  • Acting as our Brand ambassador;
  • Preparing resources (personnel, materials and resources), with a focus on efficiency and cost savings;
  • Ensuring that the administrative part and the organizational process are carried out by maintaining good coordination with the commercial departments and the services.

Requirements

This is the right role for you if you:

Officially your role is called Event Coordinator Intern, however, you will be seen as an important addition to the team. We are looking for someone who has recently finished or is currently enrolled in a University bachelor or masters degree in Event Management, Engineering or Technology.

  • Have the drive to learn about marketing, technology and automotive;
  • Bring our events to a higher level by being creative, pro-active and energetic;
  • Can work independently, but also in a team. Your way of work is structured and organized with a clear focus on our tasks;
  • Have strong administrative and organizational skills;
  • Don’t shy away from picking up the phone to call complete strangers;
  • Have availability for travel, weekends and evening hours;
  • Have excellent (written and verbal) communication skills in English;
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power point, etc) and Google systems (Slides, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Have Dutch knowledge (at least B2);
  • Have basic hospitality experience ;
  • Have a Driving licence B, not mandatory but will be a big plus;
  • Are passionate about the transition to sustainable transportation;
  • Will be responsible for setting-up stands when needed (Connecting laptops, installing Scooter accessories, maneuvering our scooters, set up banners etc.).

How to apply:

No need to write a lengthy formal cover letter, however, we do really appreciate it if you can tell us in your own words why you’d like to work with us and how your experience and personality match up against our requirements. Don’t forget to tell us about a component that you have worked on; something that you are especially proud of!
