Job description

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated Finance Manager to join us at our HQ in Amsterdam! In this role, you will be responsible for the daily finance operations and subsequently providing advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. You will report directly to our CFO.

The goal is to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.


As part of our Finance team, these will be your day-to-day activities:

  • Preparing reports on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis, based on the financial analyses and in line with requirements set by Etergo;

  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, projections and causes of deviation;

  • Implementing Financial Planning & Analysis process: building, managing and improving financial models in order to support strategic decision making;

  • Leading role in Oracle NetSuite implementation, making sure Etergo’s financial processes will run properly within the system;

  • Managing, control and improve cash-flows;

  • Identifying and enhancing internal controls and process efficiencies;

  • Taking responsibility for all project accounting to help maximise project profitability;

  • Assisting the senior leadership team in key decision making;

  • Understanding the company’s tax requirements and make sure the company is compliant;

  • Assessing potential risks facing the company and pro-actively try to mitigate them;

  • Managing external accountants, auditors and other financial advisors;

  • Supporting fundraising with both equity and debt investors.

Requirements

This is the right role for you if you have:

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Econometrics, Accounting;

  • Minimum 9 years of relevant working experience in the area of finance or consulting experience with a top-tier management consulting firm;

  • Good understanding of accounting/tax systems and ERP processes (Netsuite preferably);

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with basic VBA skills;

  • Ability to work with large sets of data, extracting and preparing information with ability to provide insights from data;

  • Prior consulting and project delivery experience to effectively mentor, advise, and coach subordinates and foster a team-oriented environment.

What will make you stand out:

  • Automotive, manufacturing experience is a strong plus;

  • Basic understanding of Dutch Tax regulation;

  • Strong technological acumen with advanced skills on Accounting/ERP systems, preferably Oracle Netsuite;

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel with strong VBA skills;

  • Audit experience in one of the Big 4 companies.
