We are Etergo. We're on a mission to accelerate the global transition towards sustainable energy and transportation by creating a safe, scalable and environmentally friendly alternative to petrol and diesel vehicles. Founded in 2014, we have grown our company with over 70 agile thinkers, building high-end electric transportation. We are currently working on #AppScooter, our first product, to demonstrate that city mobility can be clean, and deeply integrated with technologies that connect us.

We are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. In this role you have a broad range of responsibilities. As a Junior Electronics Engineer you will specify, outsource the design, test and improve electrical components for products. You keep the overview in a project when managing suppliers and the internal organisation (engineering and R&D). You are also the link between your own technical organization and suppliers.

Requirements

In terms of background and skills, this is the right role for you if you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics;
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience;
  • Soldering skills;
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, multimeter, PSU, etc.;
  • Familiarity with automotive standards;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team and individually.

Will make you stand out:

  • Schematic capture, PCB layout, library maintenance (Altium Designer);
  • Knowledge and experience with CAN network applications on vehicles, also familiarity with communication standards such as UART, SPI, I2C, LIN;
  • Understanding EMC/EMI;
  • General knowledge of embedded systems.
