Vehicle Test Manager

Job description

We are Etergo. We're on a mission to accelerate the global transition towards sustainable energy and transportation by creating a safe, scalable and environmentally friendly alternative to petrol and diesel vehicles. Founded in 2014, we have grown our company with over 60 agile thinkers, building high-end electric transportation. We are currently working on #AppScooter, our first product, to demonstrate that city mobility can be clean, and deeply integrated with technologies that connect us.

Over the next year, you will take AppScooter (and future products after that) from concept to mass production. You will play a central role in coming up with innovative solutions to challenges testing the AppScooter. You will be gathering and validating data for testing ensuring the reliability and performance of the whole vehicle.

After completing this first mission, there are plenty of opportunities to rotate into other disciplines, initiate second stage products, or take on a leadership role, as our company grows.

As part of our Engineering team, these will be your day-to-day activities:

  • Manage vehicle and components validation activities for two wheelers programs;
  • Develop, implement, and constantly improve vehicle testing processes and procedures;
  • Prepare the vehicle test plan, ensuring the vehicle targets of performance, robustness and reliability of the product are met;
  • Ensure prioritisation of tests according to the project planning;
  • Propose test programs and strategies for effective product requirements compliance;
  • Balance the testing strategy with cost effective testing programs;
  • Management of external test centers;
  • Be responsible for selecting the testing instrumentation and equipment for the validation program;
  • Be responsible to manage test planning and documentation (test specifications, test reports, statistics, key performance indicators);
  • Preparation, communication and discussion of the test results with the core engineering project team.

    This role is a great fit for you if you want to work on an entire vehicle; taking true ownership throughout the full product development cycle. And, if you want to shape the future of green mobility. However, since we are a growing company, it might not be for you if you expect to rely on clear structure, solid processes, and best practices to be already in place. Everything we do here is created from scratch, so initiative and an entrepreneurial mindset are key to success. In terms of background and skills, this is the right role for you if you have:

    • A bachelor in Engineering Degree (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent);
    • 8years+ experience on vehicle testing methods, techniques and tools;
    • Capability to analyze technical problems;
    • Capability to take initiative to solve issues with little or no direction. You are truly a proactive person;
    • Creative on developing testing programs to ensure a robust design;
    • Previous testing management experience;
    • Technical writing skills, in fluent English.

    About Etergo and our culture:

    At Etergo we want petrol scooters to become a thing of the past, and electric scooters to meet their fullest potential. AppScooter is our first step in this mission. Combining connective technology, high quality materials, comfort and safety into a long-range electric scooter, our goal is to show the world that electric is the future, and the future starts with us.

    With over twenty-five nationalities, we're proud of our cultural diversity. Our team consists of everyone from marketing experts, to mechanical engineers and programmers, and a lot in-between. We work very hard, but have fun and take care of each other as well. We have ping pong battles and a cold beer on Fridays to kick off the weekend. How to apply:

    No need to write a lengthy formal cover letter, however, we do really appreciate it if you can tell us in your own words why you’d like to work with us and how your experience and personality match up against our requirements. Don’t forget to tell us about a component that you have worked on; something that you are especially proud of!

    Please make it easy for your potential future team and submit an English version of your CV.
    Thank you!
